Monica Lee Website Makeover

Look who’s strutting a new Fall 2010 look!   Monica Lee’s website just slipped on a new dress that has whoa-zer written all over it, and it needs some showing off!

We could not be more ecstatic about her website’s redesign, Monica describes it with enthusiasm “loaded up with lots of editorial art and a couple of licensing collections with a bit of copy on how I created them.”  We love seeing hard work and dedication pay off, congrats Monica and Tom on the new and exciting website.

Oh…and its just in time too, as Monica launches a new line of stationery, checks and greeting cards!  More to come on that later.

Annette Tatum + Project Nursery

We loved the feature that Annette Tatum did for Project Nursery about her new collection of children’s artwork by Oopsy Daisy.  Annette enjoyed crafting the designer line and extending her brand into a new medium, so we thought why not share these delicious treats with you too.

Annette’s also been busy developing  a new Little House bedding collection, and new fabric collections with Westminster/Freespirit too, oh and don’t forget her new paint collection arriving this fall that is sure to make any baby with white walls green with envy.  All of us at branding, inc love everything Annette does and send nothing more than good vibes her way. Keeping it  creative!

Monica Lee Publishing News

Monica Lee continues to be sought after by leading publishers to illustrate engaging book covers.  We were delighted to see Monica’s newest illustration for Erin MacPherson’s book, ‘The Christian Mama’s Guide to Having a Baby,” due out on January 1, 2011.

An insightful book that gives you the skinny on what it really feels like to be pregnant, and full of helpful tips you’ll want to hear.  A must have read for pregnant woman, that’ll surely have you laughing, crying, and agreeing.  Monica’s fresh and contemporary mommy-to-be  illustration exemplifies Erin’s voice and book concept. “I’m THRILLED… and you captured my book, my project, EVERYTHING perfectly,” Erin expressed to Monica. So make sure to mark your calendar to go out and purchase a copy from your nearest book store in January…….. oh and don’t forget the ice cream and pickles.

branding, inc. began collaborating with Cabbages & Roses on their publishing program over three years ago.  A cherished fashion and home textiles house based in London, Cabbages & Roses brings a unique perspective to the industry with its simplicity, elegance and gorgeous design. Founded ten years ago by designer Christina Strutt, Cabbages & Roses has grown from a boutique collection of handmade articles to an internationally known fashion and design brand.  branding, inc. secured an agreement for Christina’s 5th book, At Home With Country, with CICO Books, and watching this beautiful book come together has been a true pleasure. Since then our relationship has expanded further, and branding, inc. now represents  Cabbages & Roses for press and PR throughout North America.

Our initial PR focus was to create awareness for Cabbages & Roses across North America, and the launch of the book was a great conversation starter.  We chose the web to generate buzz and build brand recognition through the dramatically expanding blogosphere. We launched the Cabbages & Roses blog in March 2010, and have grown its traffic to hundreds of unique visitors and thousands of page views every day.  The intent was to develop a blog that would both maintain the distinctiveness of Cabbages & Roses, but also attract and build an affinity with U.S. consumers.

The design of the Cabbages & Roses blog stays true to the brand image by incorporating images from the Spring/Summer fashion and home line along with signature brand elements.  The visual design of the blog was to attract the attention of the reader, and immediately exude a lifestyle that consumers could aspire to have in their own home or wear in their daily life.  New content is posted a  few times a week giving followers unique design tips,  DIY projects, updates about Cabbages & Roses and much more.  Followers can also read an overview of the company’s history and Christina’s biography.  A publishing link also gives readers the list of the books authored by  Christina for Cabbages & Roses.  The success of the blog to date has been invaluable in building awareness about Cabbages & Roses the brand and the company.

We have also cultivated relationships with other  established influential bloggers within the world of home décor and design.  These bloggers reach a vast and diverse audience on a daily basis.  Collaborating with these influential bloggers enables us to develop stories, interviews and giveaways with some of the most popular blog sites in the blogosphere, and cross pollinates the Cabbages and Roses brand with an audience that we know is already avidly interested in design,  fashion and home decor.

Our strategy to use web marketing/social media has been tremendously helpful in building the awareness for Cabbages & Roses in the U.S.  Hundreds of visitors read the blog to discover and explore the Cabbages & Roses lifestyle.  It serves as a trusted resource for consumers wanting to see behind-the-scenes of this cherished company and learn about the company’s newest developments.  Above all else, readers can be inspired in a way that brings them closer to the company and Christina.

branding, inc. looks forward to continuing to collaborate with Cabbages & Roses, and introducing this gorgeous English Country brand to more and more Americans.

To Blog or Not to Br*og

Its been months since our last company post on the br*og, and I have a confession.  My ideas, when writing about and expressing our client’s opinions, flow easily and unobstructed but when it comes to putting a stake in the ground in my own voice about a business I am tremendously passionate….its crickets! I fear I have br*og phobia.

I am type A though so we are turning over a new leaf at branding, inc. and I’m happy to say our br*og initiative is reinvigorated.  We realize we do have a lot to say about our fabulous clients, and about branding and the merchandising industry.  We will start to post on a regular basis (O.K. now I’ve put it in print, I have to do it!) sharing ideas, successes and our journey through this thing called LIFE.

Best
